Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro Original (OG) - White/Black/Infrared

Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro Original (OG) - White/Black/Infrared

During the 1991 NBA Season, you could see Michael Jordan soaring through the Air in a fresh pair of Air Jordan Original 6 (VI) White / Infra Red – Black.

The Air Jordan OG 6 (VI) White / Infra Red – Black was mainly worn by Michael Jordan on away games, which was Red with some White and Black, while the Original Jordan VI (6) White / Infra Reds contained a White upper.

Here is the home colorway of the original Air Jordan VI. This was worn mainly while MJ was at home with the Chicago Bulls. Much like the Air Jordan V, the Air Jordan VI also contains clear rubber soles as well as a lace lock. This lace lock however does not come with the plastic piece that it was encased in with the Air Jordan V. Another unique feature on these is the tongue. It was made so you could hide you laces behind it rather than having them showing. You can also actually un-button this part for easier access.

Retail was $135 and dropped September 23rd 2006.

The Air Jordan shoes Sunset V was the first ever Air Jordan V in a women’s colourway and sizing in the history of Jordan Brand. Fortunately for the lady Jordan lovers, it wasn’t the first; it was followed by the Air Jordan V Shy Pink and two distinct colourways of the Air Jordan V Low. The “Sunset” V utilizes Fire Red, the marquee color of the Air Jordan V, in the inner lining and sole. The sharks teeth is a bright sunset orange. All in all, the Air Jordan Sunset V was a great way to kick off the women’s realm of the Jordan V.

The Air Jordan 8 (VIII) Retro – Aquas (Black / Bright Concord – Aqua Tone) was one of the most anticipated retro releases of all time. Non team colors of Air Jordan’s always have a strong following, especially for older models. Arguably the best colorway of the Air Jordan IV’s, these white cement kicks feature a nice combination of white leather uppers with grey and black accenting.  The thing that really makes these kicks special is the black splatter print on the grey portions, making a nice cement design.  Like the originals, these kicks feature a Nike Air logo on the heel, for all the orignal, or close to original, Jordan collectors out there.

The Air Jordan 13 (XIII) Retro French Blue, University Blue, Flint Grey color-way is one of many Air Jordan XIII Retro’s to be released within 2004 and 2005. An original color-way, this combination is definitely nothing new, but very fitting for the sleek curves of the Air Jordan XIII. One of the original colorways of the Air Jordan XIII’s, these Flint’s actual colors on paper are different than those of the OG’s. But, the two pairs look nearly identical to the eye with the same blue reflective side panel, white leather toe box, and grey suede midsole.

The official color labels them as “team Red”, but in person, theyre much darker. The feature a white, grey, and red upper, which at first seems weird because the red and grey look like they may not blend well, but they just seem to grow on you. The Air Jordan 13 (XIII) specifications include leather uppers, a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, holographic eye, and Zoom Air insoles. They are really beautiful shoes, with flowing lines, and are very organic.

Air Jordan 11 (XI) Retro White Columbia Blue Black

They feature an all white colorway, which includes white patent leather around the base of the uppers. The inner lining features a black color scheme, which does stand out a bit. The sole features a see-through design, which is always an added bonus, but seems to turn yellow after a while. The tongue also feature a columbia blue strip, with the Jordan logo, as well as the Jumpman logo at the ankle area. The Air Jordan 11 (XI)  sneakers also features a carbon fiber spring plate, ballistic nylon uppers, quick lace system, carbon fiber sheath and air sole.

No Air Jordan signature shoe is complete without a tribute to Jordan’s alma mater, North Carolina. While Columbia Blue isn’t exactly Carolina Blue, it’s still close enough of an effort. The all-white upper made the Columbia Air Jordan XI a huge success during both the original and retro release, and paired with a clear “ice” sole gave these a clean, angelic motif. Being an original colourway, the Columbia XI left the shelves in a hurry, and it was also the first Jordan XI retro of the 21st century. Some extra trivia tidbits: The Columbia XI is the last of the XI retros to sports a “Nike Air” on the insole, and the release date did not fall on Saturday, which is known to be the unofficial Jordan Release date.
